How You Help – Clothing Donation Beneficiary

Jburg Child WelfareMany solicit donations under the name of a charity and social impact, but as little as five percent of the money generated from these donations may actually go to the charity. That is why we have partnered with Jo’burg Child Welfare (JCW) in implementing this programs. OntheMove Laundry and any of our agents do not accept cash donations or any other donations besides items highlighted above

OntheMove Laundry has a partnership with Jo’burg Child Welfare (JCW) , (JCW) provides direct services to children aged 0 to 18 through it’s four  centres and the service units at it’s head office. Through their Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Forum, they assist community based organisations in providing services to orphaned and vulnerable children within the communities they serve. In realising that they are not able to help every child themselves, OntheMove Laundry through the help of well wishers and it’s customers decided to channel clothing donations & other resources to ensure that as many children in need as possible are assisted.

  • Jo’burg Child Welfare (JCW) provides a range of direct services and support to our various outside centres, as well as various training courses and activities.
  • Child and Family Unit (child protection intake, intervention and adoption services)
  • Foster Care and Reintegration Services (recruitment, screening and training of foster parents, monitoring of foster placements)
  • Child Abuse Treatment and Training Services (treatment for child survivors of sexual abuse and their families, preventative and statutory services)
  • Aganang Learning Centre (training for social auxiliary workers)

The clothing will be distributed to the children who need, and there where we have no need for them, will give to other charities who do need it. Alternatively Jo’burg Child Welfare (JCW) also has  a charity shop whereby the items not being able to be used in their organisation will be sold and the proceeds of that to come to the organisation

Maximizing the value of your donations is important because through your donated clothing enables us to support and grow programs that result in significant social impact in these communities.
